Q: How many pages do I need?

Each page should be considered a ‘landing page‘.
The more pages you have the more you show your viewers what you offer.
Example: If you offer 4 services, you should have one landing page for each showing all the information for that one service, plus images and testimonials.

Q: How much information should I put on my website?

What ever is important for them to know your service is better than the next competitor. You don’t want to overload a reader but give as much information needed so they want to you use your services.

Q: What type of images should I use?

Good ones! Use the latest images to reflect your latest work. You don’t need ‘photography’ type images but so long as you can see clearly what you are trying to represent that should be suffice. For the home page, you may want to think about using stock images to give a higher quality feel at first glance.

Q: What if I don’t have images?

We have a large library of images that are royalty free images. So we can offer those to our clients at no cost. If we do not have images that work with what a client is looking for, we would resort to online resources to purchase inexpensive imagery.

Q: What is flash and do I need flash?

Flash is a great feature to have on a home page as this gives a quick video preview of what they are going to be seeing through out the site.  This is a 5-8 second way to peak interest in a viewer. It is not needed but certainly something to think about.

Q: Why do people have blogs?

Blog is great for 2 reasons. SEO purposes as google will crawl blogs and pull information and a way to keep updating information for your viewers to read. Almost like a daily journal to keep your followers up to date with what you are doing.

Q: How can I edit my site on my own without having to have a web company always do it for me?

We have a system that is called “Partial CMS” (Content Management System) that allows you to log in to your website as an admin and make all text and image changes on your own. Is it user friendly? VERY! It is just like working in a microsoft word document.

Q: Are there any maintenance fees?

Only if we are hosting your website or registering your domain name.

Q: How will people find my site once I run live?

We will add in meta tags, keywords and titles to your site so people can find you using your business and personal name. However, if you are looking to really market your website using your industry keywords, you want to consider one of our SEO programs. It is also a good idea for you to send out monthly newsletters to your current customers or people that have filled in your online form. This way you can update them with monthly specials, news or new projects.
